Rory McLean Bike Check

Rory McLean dropped by the BSD HQ to switch up his setup now the new 2022 parts have arrived. He's gone back to a Safari frame in the new 'Flat Earth' colourway and is trying out the Dust forks to see how they fare with all his front end wizardry. Read on to get the parts lowdown on Rory's setup and a few words from him on why he runs the parts he's chosen...

A FEW WORDS FROM RORY ABOUT HIS SAFARI FRAME SETUP:

"I'm back on the Safari frame to get the shorter back end which has made the bike more responsive, it feels like it’s got more pop but I stuck with the 21" top tube so it still feels stable too. The higher standover also makes it look so good.

Switched to the Dust forks this time around as well as the higher Safari bars to make the bike feel all round easier to nose manual. And I changed to the metal Guard sprocket a while ago because its solid and I like that it keeps the chain that bit safer.

I’ve been on the Revolution hub from the start and I’ll never go back to a normal coaster now. Being able to move your feet around whilst going backwards without the worry of engaging is mad, as well as the lightness combined with the XLT rims and Kevlar tyres makes the bike feel easy to throw around and so dialled ".
