Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, Andriy Podoba continues to blow minds with his progressive style of riding. For those who keep wondering why Andriy isn't on any BSD team trips or riding at jams, it's because after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the Ukrainian government imposed martial law, which included a ban on most men aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country. They are considered of military age and potentially eligible for mobilization into the army at any time. Scary stuff!! Slava Ukraini!!
With the support of the Ukrainian BSD distributor, BikeStuff, Podoba has built up this new 'Trans Red' ALVX AF+ setup and continues to ride as much as possible, finding moments of normalcy through BMX.

"The 20.6" ALVX-AF+ frame is a perfect fit for my riding style. The short back end and steep head angle make it super responsive and easy to handle, especially for the nosewheelies! I am hyped on the new Trans Red colourway too - so sick!
I'm stoked on this current setup — it's dialled in exactly how I like it. Over time, I've experimented with different parts, but I always find myself coming back to this build. It's the perfect balance of lightweight, responsiveness, and a solid feel."

I'm super happy I got to try out the new BSD CRBN-XLT carbon rims. I mainly wanted them for their lightweight design, and I immediately noticed the difference once they were on my bike — whips and barspins felt so much easier. Rotational weight really makes a big difference! The rims also feel super solid and look great too - I love them! Keep an eye out for them hitting stores soon!
